How often should I have my jewelry appraised?

For insurance purposes, on large value items you should renew your appraisals every 3-4 years to be current with inflation. If you purchase a jewelry item from us, we keep your appraisal information on file so that you may simply call to have us reevaluate the items.

Does it matter who appraises my jewelry?

Appraisals should be performed by a qualified gemologist.

Can you engrave my ring?

Yes, we would be happy to engrave your ring with any inscription that you would like for a small fee. Please be aware of the space limitations on a ring when choosing your inscription.

How often should my diamond and setting be checked?

You want to be sure that the stone is secure in its setting. Everyday wear and tear can jar the stone a little, and you don't want to look down at your finger to find your stone is missing. Have your setting checked by Arthur’s every six months, but this is not required for our lifetime warranty.

Do you offer jewelry cleaning and inspections?

Yes! At Arthur’s Jewelers in Roseville, we offer complimentary jewelry cleaning and inspections to keep your pieces looking their best. Stop in anytime for a professional cleaning, stone tightening, or to have our experts check for wear, no appointment needed. It’s just one of the many ways we care for your jewelry long after you take it home.

What is the best way to care for and clean a diamond?

Here are some general guidelines: avoid wearing your diamonds while doing housework, yard work or any kind of rough work. Even though a diamond is extremely durable, a hard blow could chip it. Also, avoid harsh chemicals while doing household chores, especially chlorine bleach. The best way to clean your diamonds is to use jewelry cleaner or use a bowl of warm water with mild soap. Brush the pieces with a soft brush and then rinse under water. Then dry your piece of jewelry with a soft cloth. Jewelry cleaner is available at Arthur's.

I have my own diamond, but I would like to purchase one of your settings. Can you set my diamond into one of your rings?

Yes - for a small fee ($50–$100). All our rings can be purchased without buying a center diamond, but many designs require exact diamond measurements before we can manufacture the setting.

What is the average price of an engagement ring?

Our engagement rings start around $1,000 and go up based on diamond size, setting, and design. We are known for helping each customer find the best possible ring for their budget, with transparent pricing and no pressure. Everyone spends the right amount for their budget. On average, our clients spend about $5,000-9,000 on an engagement ring.

How do I choose the right engagement ring?

What kind of engagement ring designs do you offer?

We offer a variety of engagement ring designs to suit unique styles and preferences. Find classic solitaire rings, which are simple yet elegant with a single standout diamond. For something more intricate, there are halo designs where smaller diamonds surround a central stone, adding extra sparkle. Vintage-inspired rings bring a timeless feel with unique detailing and milgrain edges. If you are looking for something modern, consider the sleek tension or bezel settings. We also offer custom design services, so you can create a ring that truly represents your unique love story.

Does Arthur's Jewelers offer jewelry repairs?

Yes! Arthur’s offers expert jewelry repair services right on-site. From ring resizing and prong tightening to chain soldering and gemstone replacement, our skilled jewelers handle every repair with precision and care. What if I order the incorrect ring size?

It is not a problem. Arthur's offers free ring sizing for the lifetime of the ring. Most rings resizing take about a week, depending on the design and metal. We will size your ring in-store with our team of Master Goldsmiths.

What should I know before buying a diamond?

Before buying a diamond, it’s important to understand the 4Cs: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight - since these factors determine a diamond’s beauty and value. Always choose a certified diamond from a trusted lab like GIA or IGI, and don’t forget to compare sparkle using tools like GemEx Light Performance reports. At Arthur’s Jewelers in Roseville, our diamond experts will walk you through every detail so you can find the most brilliant diamond for your budget with total confidence.

Are any of your diamond's laser treated, clarity enhanced, color enhanced, or modified in any way?

Arthur’s Jewelers only sells diamonds that are 100% natural and untreated. The Gemological Institution of America (GIA), American Gem Society (AGS), The European Gemological Laboratory (EGL), will not issue grading reports on diamonds that have been treated or enhanced, so purchasing our diamonds is a double guarantee that your diamond is natural.

Do you sell Lab-Grown Diamonds?

Yes! Arthur’s Jewelers has both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds have the same sparkle and durability as mined stones, and typically cost 30–40% less — perfect for couples who want beauty and value. We have an amazing selection of Lab-grown diamonds unlike any other store.

Are the gemstones used in your jewelry natural or synthetic?

Every gemstone used in our jewelry is mined from the earth. We do not sell synthetic gemstones.

How can I make sure the diamonds I receive are actually the diamonds I ordered?

We ship every loose diamond and diamond engagement ring with an independent GIA, AGS or EGL report. This report can be examined by a qualified gemologist and compared against the unique characteristics of your diamond.
